- Dyson’s Notes -
Inside Taerha’s flashback* we meet Fate, however briefly, only to see Taerha punching him unconscious and knocking out one of his teeth in the process.  I had a friend once argue with me that such a feat could not possibly happen to a God, but to that I  wittily replied: “Nyah, Nyah. It’s my comic and eyes does as eyes pleezus.” <Insert shamelessly sticking out of tongue while making raspberry noise>.
Anyhoo, for those of you who read the most excellent Terry Pratchett can see his influences in this strip. Specifically, in the incarnation of Fate as a pompous Diety. For those of you who don’t read Pratchett do so. He is one of the funniest, cleverest, satire fantasy authors out there. ‘Nuff said.
Next week, we catch up with the present as we end this flashback (no more flashbacks for a while I promise) and return to the present where Taerha finds herself inadvertantly signed up to compete in the tournament with out ever picking up a pen…

(*Yes, I realize that this flashback is already inside an already occurring a flashback. No, I am not just some hack punk who doesn’t know what he is doing. Well, I am. But you’re the one reading this so nyah, nyah.)
